Ramadan

Ramadan is the holy month for Muslims. It is the month in which The Holy Quran was revealed. Muslims all over the world fast throughout the month, the fast is observed from dawn to dusk. When fasting, all types of food and water is prohibited, which of course everybody follows however most of the people I have seen, do not follow all the principles completely. Actually the month is a training period for Muslims to learn, practice and strengthen their faith and it has so much to offer that this page will not be sufficient to write all the things. It also practically trains to gain knowledge and implement it. All the practices observed during the month should be practiced throughout their lives. This month promotes peace and trains its followers to promote and practice peace. Especially during fast one should not abuse, hurt or create any form of violence which should be followed in other months and entire life. It promotes charity, social work, teaching and learning. When a person fasts it makes him/her to realize importance of food and what hunger is, how to reduce food wastage and puts up a notion to be kind to those who cannot afford to buy food, and encourages doing something for the needy. The fast is completed or one is allowed to eat immediately after sun sets. This way it calls everybody to follow and get benefited.
