Colorado Shooting

Last Friday a man opened fire in a theater in Aurora, Colorado which killed 12 people and some are in critical condition and more than 50 people were injured. It was an intentional act as the shooter threw gas canister in a theater where midnight show of “The Dark Knight Rises” was in being played. Following this several people were terrified while watching the movie in different theaters because of weird behavior of some audiences. It has disturbed a lot of people’s mind. The police arrested a suspect ‘James Homes’ but that is not enough because the government has to make some quick and effective reforms in arms permit laws to prevent similar tragedy in future and also to protect its people. This incident has impacted a lot of people’s life, those who lost their loved ones and those who saw witnessed this and also those who heard this news. To help victims and their families, funds are being raised which I believe is correct however the mental impact on victim’s families could never be compensated. It has triggered a feeling of insecurity nationally which increased arms sales immediately after this tragedy. This clearly states what is going through people’s mind. There can be lot more similar killing because some might suspect the other person and starting shooting and then others would be panicked and they too would start shooting, this way everybody would be killing each other. Therefore the government should serious take some immediate measures to prevent future killings. The government should foresee things and act accordingly to keep its people safe from all forms of threats in the society.
